Yahia Albaghdadi

Associate Wealth Advisor

Yahia Albaghdadi’s (pronounced Yah-he-yah Al-bahg-dah-dee) path to the financial industry is defined by resilience and a global perspective. Fluent in Arabic, English, and German and having lived in nine countries after leaving Syria at an early age, he developed a cross-cultural understanding and an entrepreneurial mindset. He launched his first business endeavors at the age of 14, selling secondhand antiques in Damascus’s markets. Growing up in a region marked by instability, Yahia internalized the belief that education is the only asset that can never be taken away. This conviction fostered a natural aptitude for learning and a disciplined approach to financial leadership that he applies daily as an Associate Wealth Advisor.

Prior to joining the firm, Yahia worked at Goldman Sachs, where he advanced to the role of Senior Analyst in Asset and Wealth Management. Academically, he was awarded full scholarships to complete both his bachelor’s degree in economics and his master’s in financial management. During his graduate studies, he founded and led an investment club to demystify finance for students and expatriates, demonstrating a commitment to financial and investment literacy that remains central to his work.

A resident of Washington, D.C., Yahia enjoys exploring the city on long walks with his dog and is on a mission to check every U.S. state off his travel list (11 so far). Outside of the office, he stays engaged with the industry by reading about financial market trends, listening to podcasts, and planning his next travel adventure.
